Cars II

Little Guy and I are pretty keen on cycling but until now I haven't taken him out on my bike since he hasn't had a helmet. We finally made it to Toys R Us this morning. He chose this one (Cars).

The price was good, considerably cheaper than the recommended retail listed here. It's for 2-4 year olds, is lightweight and adjustable. It meets the Japanese Safety Standards.

Does anyone else feel like there is no end to the spending when you have kids?

  1. No end ever, but from June 28th (I believe, June something anyway) it will be the law that kids have to have helmets on bikes so this is one of those "nothing you can do situations," right? I can't imagine riding on a bike with the kids and not having them in helmets, but I guess not everyone feels that way.

Anyway, it is cute. My Little Guy has a handmedown plain yellow one. I am hoping I can handmedown the next size too, but his sister insisted on a pink one so he might rebel then.

  2. Wow! that's fantastic, about the law, I didn't know. I am so pleased. I have been waiting for Biggie to rebel against wearing one being one of the only older kids with a helmet. Now he won't be able to.

About pink ... today Biggie needed a pair of rubber gloves for a craft project. I had two new pairs in the drawer, he chose purple over blue.

yah, my kids are some of the rare few in this neighborhood with helmets.

by the way... I thought kids just kept on needing money... but now that we have hit jr. high... it suddenly got WORSE.

it;s just one damn money envelope after another!!!!!
