Little Guy is obsessed with fire engines and emergency services in general. He's such a boy like that!
His favourite story right now is Flick The Little Fire Engine. It came with a three track CD which means we both know the songs. I hear him singing it at night which is so cute. The original story was broadcast on the radio on Sunday mornings. The songs have that crackly old feel, I love it!
Today he was really lucky as our babysitter and friend offered to take him to the kindergarten for the real fire brigade visit. It was very exciting since they lit and put out a fire.
I found this cool place in Melbourne for arranging your own fire fighter visit or party. I wonder if they have any of those firemen calendars ? :)
**Edit, I got a lovely email from Rob, the real fireman who runs the site mentioned. Here's what he said "This is Firefighter Rob. Thank you for the mention on your site.
We attend Birthday Parties in Melbourne, have Firefighter Themed Party Products that we send Australia wide, and also sell the full range of Fire Extinguishers at BETTER THAN RETAIL. Look at http://www.fireengines.com.au"
Mee a Bee adds - With holidays and chaos-time coming up, cooking with the oven more than usual and hot weather across Australia it's a good time to check your smoke alarms and make sure your family knows how to react to a fire. We have an escape plan that we've practised, including Biggie jumping out of his bedroom window. Stay safe..
